Today on July 29, 2019, when HC Vipan Kumar of Jammu Police presently posted at P/S Gharota was passing through the New Bridge over the river Chenab, saw a girl who was trying to jump into the river Chinab. She was immediately caught hold of by the HC Vipan kumar.
The HC informed the SHO P/S Gharota about the incident and she was brought to the Police Station. Accordingly her parents were called at Police Station and she was handed over to them after completing legal formalities.
Timely action by the HC Vipan Kumar saved a precious human life.
